Accident on the Vrion-Krane axis, the vehicle overturns on the Finiqi bend

A road accident was recorded this Tuesday afternoon on the Vrion-Krane segment, in the area known as the Finiqi bend. A vehicle went off the road and overturned into the collector on the edge of the road axis.

According to preliminary data, only the driver, citizen Aleksandër Xhuvani, 49 years old, was in the vehicle. Immediately after the incident was reported, the fire brigade of the Finiq Municipality and the Police services arrived at the scene, and intervened to remove the driver from the overturned vehicle.

The injured man was initially transported urgently to the Saranda hospital for medical assistance. According to doctors, the 49-year-old has suffered several physical injuries, including broken ribs. After stabilization, he is expected to be taken by ambulance to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for specialized treatment.

The police have launched investigations to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident, while traffic on this road segment has normalized after the intervention of the relevant services.
