"They returned from the protest and expelled Salianji"/ Sula criticises the DP: It doesn't make sense, they don't have the luxury of expelling people!

Former Democratic Party MP, Dashnor Sula, invited to the "Studio24" show on News24 , commented on the latest political developments in the country and the situation within the opposition, focusing particularly on the departure of Ervin Salianj from the leadership of the DP.
Sula was critical of the way the opposition is acting, calling the expulsion of figures from the party meaningless, at a time when the DP claims to represent the real opposition . "Does it make sense that after all that protest that took place yesterday, they just went to the headquarters to expel Salianji to declare themselves the real opposition? Having the luxury of expelling people from the party does not make sense," said Sula.
He also raised concerns about the international isolation of the DP in recent years. According to him, since April 2022 until today, there has been no European Union delegation or international representative to visit the Democratic Party headquarters. “Find me an international delegation that has gone to the DP headquarters. For better or worse, Basha has been the image of relations with internationals,” he said.
Sula stressed that international partners have given clear signals about the need to renew the opposition. “The first thing they are told is that if you don’t renew, you will continue like this. That is the problem,” he said.
In conclusion, the former MP warned that if the current leadership of the DP and the close circle around it continue with the same approach, the Democratic Party will not succeed in becoming a real alternative to power. “ I know that, if it continues like this, the DP is not an alternative for 2029, ” Sula concluded.
