DP list, parliamentary group splits into three parts, security for the most loyal

Most of the current Democratic Party MPs risk not being in the Assembly after May 11th.
The Presidency and then the National Council decided that only 19 of the DP legislators would have a seat in the Assembly again in September. The principle “the most loyal at the top of the lists” seems to have been followed by Sali Berisha for placing the names on the closed list, where in addition to himself, he also secured Noka, Paloka, Vokshi and some of those who have remained close to him during the internal battle among the Democrats. Several deputies who are known as part of the “Bardhi group” also emerged victorious, where in addition to the political leaders of this formation, there is tolerance for Saimir Korreshi and Bledion Nallbat.
Although among the most voted in the primaries, luck was not with Jorida Tabaku and Dhurata Çupi. Their seats in Tirana were taken by allies, and now both will have to run on an open list to be in the Assembly after May 11.
Of the current MPs, 11 did not find their names on the list at all. Helidon Bushati and Ferdinand Xhaferaj had previously withdrawn, but others also took a step back when the Presidency placed them at the bottom of the open list. Dissatisfaction was also publicly expressed by Oriela Nebiaj and Ilda Dhori, who refused to be part of the open lists.
The closed list of the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition, in addition to the Democrats, will be supplemented with allies, where the Freedom Party will be represented with a minimum of four names, while Ilir Meta will aim to obtain a fifth mandate in an open race.
Even the Democratic Party's smaller allies seem to have gotten what they wanted, as they too will have their own representatives in the next Parliament.
Part of the closed lists will also be several former MPs and former leaders of the Democratic Party, thus completing the number of 46 of those who have the most hope of being in the Assembly after May 11.
The diaspora will only be deprived of votes, because among the democratic candidates there is a lack of representation of Albanians living abroad, contrary to what Berisha has stated. (A2 Television)
