"I support SPAK with spirit and deeds", Basha: Rama had 12 years to do


The Political Leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, was today for a different interview on the show "N'SPAK" with journalist Ermal Qori. When asked if he was afraid of SPAK, Basha said that he is the only politician who has supported the Special Prosecution Office with spirit and deeds. He brought to attention the laws he has brought to the Assembly to support SPAK with finances, human resources or facilitating cooperation with the Prosecutor's Offices of the EU and the US.

Speaking about government corruption, Basha said that Edi Rama had 12 years to do something in this country, but the only thing Albanians remember is the ironic phrase 7x7 = 313.

He further said that the irony he uses towards Rama with 7x7 = 313 is true and without any effort, as the fact is that his friends are in prison for corruption, or on the run from SPAK for corruption.

Ermal Qori: SPAK doesn't scare you at all?

Lulzim Basha: I support SPAK with my heart and with my actions. I believe I am the only political actor who has tried with the law that I have submitted to the Albanian Parliament, to give total support to SPAK, to provide it with finances and human resources. To make changes to Albanian laws to facilitate cooperation with colleagues in foreign countries, the Prosecutors of the European Union, the USA. As well as the law on the vetting of politicians or the lifting of the immunity of parliamentarians. These are three proposals that bear my signature and I believe they speak better than words.

Ermal Qori: There are many who consider it as something not good for your aspect, so, okay Rama is exploiting this situation. What do you use it for?

Lulzim Basha: About the most important thing that Albanians should know today. For 12 years, Edi Rama had the opportunity to do something for this country and the only thing that Albanians remember is 7x7 = 313. Which has become symbolic for Rama's cabinet that is either in prison, or in SPAK, or on the run.

Ermal Qori: Now let me compliment you on this 7x7 313, because it is an unprecedented find. Not that I am here, but it is really a find. You took advantage of the situation that happened with the 313.

Lulzim Basha: It's the truth, there's no effort. And when the truth meets humor, of course people like it. But the fact is that his friends, who don't answer where his friends are, are in prison for corruption. They are on the run from SPAK, because they are wanted for corruption. And he doesn't answer. Now with all these friends in prison for corruption, either you are incompetent, so you are more stupid than an owl, or you are part of this. Being prime minister you have responsibility for this, political and criminal. This is a discussion that he will not have.
