Over 5 billion dollars in the Peace Board, Trump receives the commitment of member countries, Albania part of the Board

President Donald Trump has announced that members of the Peace Board have pledged over $5 billion in aid to Gaza, as part of efforts for reconstruction and humanitarian stabilization.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that the formal funding commitment will be announced on February 19, 2026 in Washington, at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace.
"On February 19, 2026, I will again join the Members of the Peace Board at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, where we will announce that Member States have pledged more than $5 billion for Humanitarian and Reconstruction efforts in Gaza, and have committed thousands of personnel to the International Stabilization Force and Local Police to maintain Security and Peace for the people of Gaza," Trump wrote, American media reports, according to A2 CNN.
"It is very important that Hamas honors its commitment to complete and immediate demilitarization. The Peace Board will prove to be the most important international body in history, and it is an honor for me to serve as its Chairman," he added.
Albania has also been invited to be part of the Peace Board. A few days ago, A2 CNN learned that Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to travel to Washington, D.C., for the first meeting of the Peace Board, which is scheduled to be held on February 19.
Israel officially joined the Peace Board last week, ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting with Trump at the White House.
The initial charter signing ceremony for the Board was held in January in Davos, Switzerland, with the participation of leaders from 17 countries in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The White House has also invited other countries such as Russia, Belarus, France, Germany, Vietnam, Finland, Ukraine, Ireland, Greece and China, while Poland and Italy have stated that they will not join the initiative.
Meanwhile, the US has increased its military presence in the region. The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and the guided-missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy have been deployed as US representatives hold meetings with Iranian officials in Oman. Other US warships have been positioned in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea, at a time of heightened regional tension.
