The entire BKH is mobilized! 35 inspections in companies and homes of Belinda Balluku's family members. Documents, telephone and computer equipment are seized

New details from SPAK's actions in the case against former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. Judge Erion Çela has approved 35 searches and seizures throughout Albania, while due to their high number, with the instructions of the prosecutors of the case, including almost the entire structure of the National Bureau of Investigation, they have been engaged in the field.
Sources confirm that a number of documents and telephone and computer equipment of value for the investigation have been seized and will be the subject of expert examinations. The checks and seizures were carried out at companies, individuals and family members of Belinda Balluku.
According to Report TV sources, the checks have included the son of Balluk's aunt, entrepreneur Mired Reçi, who turns out to have had shares in at least two companies until a few years ago, "XL MARKET" shpk and "Hippo Tregu Elektrik" shpk. In both, his partner was another family member of Balluk, her brother-in-law Meland Qirko. Both companies were donated to a third person in February 2020, and a month later their activity was declared suspended.
Among these actions are the interrogations in recent days of many people, including Viola Haxhiademi, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, currently director of KESH, and businessman Arbër Abazi.
The former deputy prime minister was initially indicted on October 31 last year for the construction of the Llogara Tunnel. A few weeks later, on November 19, a travel ban was imposed on her, while the request for her suspension from office was accompanied by controversy and a clash that ended in the Constitutional Court at the request of the government. The request was rejected after the Constitutional Court did not reach the necessary quorum to issue a decision.
In parallel, the investigations were extended to the 7 lots for the construction of the Grand Ring Road in the capital. Investigations for which SPAK requested parliament on December 16 and authorization for its arrest, but after almost 3 months, the socialist majority rejected it by vote in parliament.
At the end of last year and at the beginning of this year, numerous inspections were carried out on almost all the companies that had won the tenders for the construction of the Tirana Ring Road. At least three other tender procedures are also under investigation. The tenders suspected of abuse are worth several hundred million dollars.
