"We do not take power by force"/ Berisha: We will make a prolonged peaceful revolution!
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke today about the opposition's announced protest on January 24, in front of the Prime Minister's Office, emphasizing that the opposition does not aim to seize power by force.
During an online conversation with followers, Berisha stated that the Democratic Party remains committed to the path of peaceful reaction and that a change of power, according to him, can come through a sustainable and peaceful uprising.
"We are the Democratic Party and we have never aimed for power through violence. On the contrary, when our opponents took power through violence, we removed them through votes," declared Berisha, responding to a question from a citizen.
He added that a prolonged and peaceful uprising is, according to him, vital for the removal of the current government and for saving the country from what he described as a “criminal organization.” Berisha stressed that the opposition is making its preparations and that very soon the citizens and the opposition will be ready for this process.
