Why isn't the opposition standing up? Aldo Bumçi: There are no more residents!

Former Foreign Minister Aldo Bumçi, invited to the "Off the Record" studio by Andrea Danglli, on A2CNN, stated that the government threatens those who protest "with the jobs of relatives, with the legalization of their homes and businesses."
"Citizens here do not vote freely. This is what the OSCE/ODIHR report says, and the EU delegation that monitored the elections also said. You can never vote for a government when, according to official statistics, agricultural production has been falling for the fifth consecutive year, industrial production has been falling for the third consecutive year, exports have been falling for the second consecutive year... How can these people who are losing income and jobs vote for the government? They are not voting! This is a closed issue and that is why we are demanding free elections. We are demanding that what was done in Macedonia be done and let's see if they vote for Edi Rama, when he is not under the reins of power," said Bumçi.
When asked why the opposition is not rising when the situation is like this, Bumçi replied: "How many people does Albania have today? There are less than 2 million inhabitants and in a country where you are threatened with the jobs of relatives, with the legalization of your home, with your business, you are going against the government... Albania today has less than 2 million inhabitants, we don't even have large municipalities and nothing, since the slogan was taken and the competition was held without funds."
