Rama visits Vlora today, traders protest against relocation from the current market

Vlora merchants protested today in front of the "Petro Marko" Theater, following the decision of the Municipal Council to relocate them from the current market.
The protesters say they were not consulted at all about the decision and accuse the mayor of making fun of them.
"The market is being taken away from us to build buildings," say the traders, while emphasizing that none of their representatives were accepted during the decision-making process. The announced visit of Prime Minister Edi Rama to
Vlorë comes at a time when tensions between the municipality and the merchant community are high, creating an atmosphere of anticipation for his response to the situation.
Traders are demanding that the relocation process be postponed and done with their active participation in decision-making. According to the decision, the fruit and vegetable sector will be located in the Çole market, while industrial traders will move to the Shumica market in Jalli i Narta.
