After a few years of hiatus, Demi Lovato returns with the "It's Not That Deep" tour
Demi Lovato is ready to embark on her new tour after a long hiatus from touring. The 33-year-old singer made the announcement during an event in New York City to promote her cookbook, One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food. Lovato said she's excited to kick off her It's Not That Deep tour in April and that this stage of her career is special for her.
“It’s amazing to be in this period right now,” Lovato told Eli Rallo on 92NY. She described the era as “festive and fun,” noting that the latest album reflects the happiness and peace she feels in her life today.
Returning to tour after a few years brings mixed emotions for the singer. “I’m so excited, a little overwhelmed and a little nervous, but I can’t wait to see all the people,” Lovato added. She also revealed that she will perform songs from her latest album, as well as familiar hits that fans love, with the possibility of including new material.
The song she's most excited to perform is "Sorry to Myself," which ties into the messages of her book, inspired by her journey of recovery from an eating disorder. Lovato said the song represents a way to take control of her history and forgive herself for the past.
The singer also said that touring can be physically and emotionally exhausting, but the reward of performing in front of fans and connecting with them makes the experience incredible.
