Albania convinces again and takes the lead of the group, the red and blacks clearly defeat San Marino with 3 goals

Albania has done its job well, defeating San Marino 0-3 away. The Reds have started their adventure in the Nations League on the right foot, as they have received full points, 6 points, in the two matches played so far.

The team led by Rolando Maran opened the scoring in the 21st minute. After a corner kick taken by Kristjan Asllani and a header deflected by Rei Manaj, Anis Mehmeti found himself in the right place and headed the ball into the net. For Mehmeti, this was his first goal for the Albanian national team.

Just six minutes later, Albania struck again. Rei Manaj tried a powerful free kick, the home goalkeeper managed to punch the ball away, but Myrto Uzuni took advantage of the rebound and sent it into the net for 0-2.

The Berat striker's goal was also checked by VAR before being finally confirmed.

The first half ended with Albania's double advantage, which controlled the game and created other opportunities, with chances to make the score even deeper.

At the start of the second half, the Rossoneri found the goal of calm. In the 65th minute, in the development of a corner kick, the ball went to Manaj who beat the home goalkeeper with two attempts.

With this victory, Albania ranks at the top of Group C1 in the Nations League with 6 points, followed by Finland with 4 points, Belarus with 1 point and San Marino with 0 points.

Albania will play their next match on Saturday at 3:00 PM away against Finland, where they will seek to maintain first place in the group.
