Juventus and Vlahovic, talks about the future: Will the Serbian's salary be reduced?

Juventus and Dusan Vlahovic have held their first official contact to discuss the Serbian striker's future, marking an important step towards a possible contract renewal.

This meeting, which included Vlahovic, his father Milos and the leaders of the black and white club in Continassa, came after the player's physical condition improved and his gradual return to training after a three-month break.

Despite his contract expiring in June, Vlahovic has expressed his desire to stay at Juventus, assuring the club that he has not yet made any commitments to other clubs such as Barcelona, ​​Milan or Bayern. This opening, which comes after a "freeze" period at the end of the summer, is considered important, but not yet decisive.

The black and white club, supported by coach Spalletti's assessment of the Serbian, is ready to start negotiations, provided that Dusan accepts lower and "human" figures compared to his current salary. This means that his salary will not be 12 million euros as in 2025-26, but around 7 million euros, similar to the contract just signed with young star Kenan Yildiz.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic has shown commitment by supporting his teammates from the pitch, like a true fan. It is not ruled out that he will be part of the squad for the match against Pisa on Saturday night, as a move to make him feel the atmosphere of the match again. His gradual return to the pitch is expected to take place in Udine, in mid-March, to avoid any risk.

Contact with Vlahovic at Continassa received the green light from coach Spalletti himself, who sees Dusan's stay, after the renewals of Yildiz and McKennie, as a confirmation of the club's project that is taking shape.

Spalletti himself, who arrived on October 30 for eight months, is expected to sign a new deal by mid-March, potentially until 2028, with the decision to extend by one or two seasons remaining up to him. This new Juventus project has already begun, with a perfect fit between the club and the coach for the summer transfer market.

For Vlahovic, the priority remains the reality of the Champions League, which he has known since January 2022, but the key point of the restart is the significant reduction in his economic demands. A new chapter is expected soon.
