Head-to-head battle between the Iberians/ Spain chasing Italy in the Champions League standings

Spanish football took a step forward in this penultimate round of the Champions League group stage thanks to the victories of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao in the fight for fifth place in the Champions League for next season.
