Controversy over new sponsor, Dortmund reaches agreement with arms manufacturer

The Borussia Dortmund club has ended up under the accusation of public opinion in Germany.

Everything has to do with the new sponsor of the yellows, "Rheinmetall".

The latter is one of the largest arms production companies in Germany, and the public opinion there has highly criticized the leaders of the yellows for this decision.

According to what has been revealed so far from this deal, Dortmund will benefit from one million euros per year.

Meanwhile, according to the agreement, "Rheinmetall" will not be part of the Dortmund jersey, but will take up space in the advertising spots at the "Signal Iduna Park" stadium.

On the other hand, the sports director of Dortmund, Sebastian Kehl, refused to comment on this agreement with "Rheinmetall" while emphasizing that the only focus of the club and the team at this moment is the Champions League final against Real Madrid on June 1.
