Albanians write history for North Macedonia, Shkëndija's success in the Champions League takes them to the group stage

Shkëndija Tetovo has made history by advancing to the third round of the Champions League. And in doing so, it has achieved a historic result for itself and another for football in North Macedonia after Vardar.

The Red and Blacks of Tetovo, thanks to the magical evening in Bucharest, secured passage to another round of the Champions League and, in the worst case, to the Europa League play-offs. Even there, if they are eliminated, they will be assured of at least the group stage of the Conference League, with excellent income for this club and undoubtedly great visibility for the players. This, in the worst possible version, as Shkëndija's journey to the Champions League continues and may give other surprises.

This is a historic achievement for football in North Macedonia, as after so many years, a club from this country will be represented in the group stage of a UEFA competition. And as expected, it was an Albanian club.
