The Ministry of Defense states that over the last 24 hours, 25 fires have been reported across the country, of which 4 remain active and 1 is under monitoring.
350 operational forces and 26 firefighting vehicles have been engaged in firefighting operations. The Armed Forces have also been involved in supporting the operations with 140 personnel, 3 helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft.
The main active foci are in Dajt and Priska in Tirana, Lufaj in Mirditë and Tërbun in Puka.
In Dajt, the operation continues with 50 Armed Forces personnel, 15 firefighters and 5 Civil Protection Agency forces. According to the Ministry of Defense, there is currently no danger to residential areas.
In Tërbun, the engagement of local structures, volunteers and the Armed Forces continues, with the support of two helicopters. There is no reported danger to homes in this area either.
Meanwhile, the situation appears to be improving in some of the outbreaks of recent days. The fires in Gurë-Lura, Bruç i Matit, Tharri in Mirditë and Selenica have been completely extinguished.
