Elbasan Police have revealed the dynamics of the serious incident that occurred in the early hours of November 5, 2026, in the "28 Nëntori" neighborhood, where a vehicle owned by an employee of the Elbasan Municipality was engulfed in flames after the explosion of a quantity of explosive material.
According to official Police information, the incident was recorded at around 02:00, when an explosion caused by a quantity of explosive material occurred in one of the front tires of a "Volkswagen" vehicle, owned by a citizen with the initials AD.
As a result of the explosion, the vehicle was engulfed in flames, which then spread, causing damage to another "Benz" vehicle, which was parked nearby.
Immediately after the event, the investigative group began actions to fully document it, clarify the circumstances, and identify the person responsible.
After the investigations and actions taken, the Police announce that they have managed to fully clarify the dynamics of the incident, identify and arrest the suspected perpetrator.
Further developments regarding the identity of the arrested person, the motives and circumstances that led him to this action are expected to be announced through full official information from the Police.
