EMRI/ 19-year-old arrested in Vlora for driving with firearms

A 19-year-old identified as Panajot Kola has been arrested by Tirana Police for driving with a firearm in his vehicle.
The Blues have seized the firearm as material evidence.
The driver of the vehicle has also been arrested for failing to report a crime.
In continuation of the work to prevent and crack down on the criminal activity of illegal possession of weapons, the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector of the Vlora Police Department, in cooperation with the Operational Support Investigation Section, based on information obtained through operational channels, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Nightfall".
During this operation, in the evening, on the "Orikum-Vlora" road axis, in Radhima, a "Mercedes Benz" vehicle with 2 citizens was stopped for inspection. At the moment of the Police intervention, the passenger threw a bag from the vehicle and tried to run away, but was immediately caught by the Police services.
During the search of the backpack, a pistol with a silencer was found, which was seized as material evidence.
At the conclusion of the actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Vlora Police Commissariat arrested the following citizens in flagrante delicto:
PK, 19 years old, resident of Orikum, for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition";
BK, 34 years old, resident of Orikum, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime".
Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigations into the case continue.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
