Hacking of SPAK emails! Zekthi: Serious event. There are huge interests at play

Analyst Fitim Zekthi commented on the hacking of SPAK emails on the “Open” show on News 24, describing the event as very serious and with major consequences for the security of justice institutions in Albania. He emphasized that SPAK is one of the most important institutions in the country and should be supported by the government in these cases, adding that it is unacceptable for this attack to pass without strong support for the structure.

Zekthi underlined that, although the event is serious, it may have a minor operational consequence, due to SPAK's high expertise in the field of cybercrime. He considers it difficult to 'catch' SPAK in classified information, suggesting that this attack may be the result of powerful interests attempting to blackmail this Special Structure.

Zekthi does not believe that this attack came from two curious individuals, and that it is more likely that there is a structured group with large interests that seeks to harm the work of SPAK.

Fitim Zekthi: The incident is very serious. SPAK is among the most important institutions. The government should have said that we are on SPAK's side. The incident is very serious, but perhaps the consequences are zero. SPAK has expertise, is very qualified against cybercrime and it is very difficult to catch SPAK in classified information. This shows that in Albania there is very great power, there are gigantic interests at play and they are trying to blackmail SPAK. I do not believe that the incident has two curious people as protagonists, I do not believe that this is the thesis.
