Flux in the Port of Durrës, ferries continue with double sailings

The tourist season continues to bring many tourists, while the Port of Durrës is the main gateway from the Italian coasts, Bari and Ancona. The flow in the port of Durrës continues, while only this morning, according to the data available to Shqiptarja.com, 2 ferries arrived from Bari and 1 from Ancona.

In total, the 3 ferries have brought 4203 passengers and 1330 vehicles, while in the evening, 2 more ferries are expected to arrive from Bari. Ferries continue to make 2 sailings a day. The ferry processing counters at the port are operating at full capacity, with 28 counters operating today.

Such a situation has burdened the city's roads because the number of vehicles circulating on them has increased significantly. The same situation will be in the following days, the Port Authority of Durrës informs.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama has shared on Facebook pictures of the tourists who filled the beaches of Durrës. Since yesterday, the head of the government has been publishing pictures of beaches full of vacationers, after many rumors circulating that there are no tourists in Albania.

The coastal city of Durrës remains one of the main destinations for local and foreign tourists to spend their summer vacations. Thanks to the soft sand and the warm sea that lasts from May to September, as well as the many activities and restaurants that are open throughout the year, the beaches of Durrës are among the most frequented in Albania.

The proximity to Tirana has also helped the residents of the capital to have the perfect weekend break less than an hour away.

Some of the most frequented beaches are; the beach in Gjirin e Lalzi, Kepi i Rodoni, Currilawe beach, Kallmi, Karpeni beach in Spille, Golemi to Shkëmbi i Kavaja, or even Qerreti.
