The trial for the murder of former Albanian boxer Besar Nimani (38) began today at the Bielefeld Courthouse, but as the hearing began, gunshots were heard outside. The shots came from a moving vehicle, reports BILD.
The father and brother of the perpetrator of Nimami's murder were the targets of the shooting. The first received a bullet in the lung and is in critical condition, according to authorities, while the other was shot in the leg. Meanwhile, a third person is also suspected of being injured. German police arrested the perpetrator of the shooting, while it is believed that he also had an accomplice who is being sought.
The alleged perpetrator, Hüseyin Akkurt (38), who was arrested in Brussels in mid-July, is on trial. A second suspect is still at large.
