The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has made public the results of a successful international operation against organized crime, in cooperation with Finnish authorities.
In a statement to the media, Dumani emphasized that this investigation marks a special moment for the institution he leads.
" I have the honor and pleasure to make public today the results of a joint investigation between SPAK and the Finnish authorities. This investigation represents not only a success in the fight against organized crime, but also an achievement in the history of SPAK, as it marks the creation of the first joint investigative unit between the two countries, " Dumani declared.
He explained that Albanian organized crime has expanded its activity to the Nordic countries, including Finland, and that cooperation between the two authorities has led to the crackdown on several criminal groups responsible for the trafficking and distribution of narcotics.
" We have cracked down on several criminal groups responsible for selling various types of drugs. This investigation is the result of long and intensive work ," added the head of SPAK.
The joint investigation between SPAK and Finnish authorities is considered a model of effective cooperation at the international level in the fight against organized crime and will be followed by other actions on the ground and in tracking international criminal networks.
