A compatriot was killed in Greece, the Korça Prosecutor's Office

The Korça Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations into the two Albanians Armando Tarushllari and Gëzim Latja who killed their compatriot in Greece, bringing the two suspects in the incident to trial.

Referring to the acts, evidence and indications administered during the preliminary investigation phase, it is proven beyond any doubt that the defendants GL and AT alias JC alias A. Xh. alias MD alias MC alias AD on 07.12.2008, at around 00:10 in the Athens area on “Efpalinu” street, in collaboration with each other, after a violent conflict between two Albanian groups for weak motives, caused injuries to citizen A.Xh. in various parts of the body.

As a result of blows with hands/fists, sticks and a knife, based on data obtained from the victim's lawyer, it is suspected that death occurred as a result of severe damage to the left side of the chest and heart, resulting from the fatal blows, the Korça prosecution office announced.

From the analysis of the acts administered in the preliminary investigation phase, according to the Prosecution, it resulted proven beyond any doubt that the defendants GL and AT (currently in custody), have committed the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder", provided for by Article 76 of the Criminal Code, this offense committed with active illegal actions, carried out in collaboration.
