The target of the assassination attempt on the Fushë-Kruja overpass is suspected to have been the 22-year-old Brilant Martinaj, whose lifeless body, together with Arbë Hoxha, was burned inside the vehicle they were traveling in.
Brilant Martinaj is the first cousin of Ervis Martinaj, declared internationally wanted for ordering the murder of Endri Dokles after the testimony of the repentant justice Nuredin Dumani.
Brilanti is also wanted for the murder of FNSH officer Xhulio Prela on November 5, 2020, but also another former officer of blue uniforms, 60-year-old Xelal Reçi.
The conflict two years ago with Xuljo Prela allegedly started after a fight over the car's headlights, after Prela, who was returning from the village of Kosmač in Shkodra, stopped as the perpetrators signaled him with lights and flashlights.
