Maduro: Ecuador's Albanian mafia seeks to sabotage elections in Venezuela!

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has accused the Albanian mafia in Ecuador of being contracted to carry out terrorist attacks on May 25, election day in Venezuela.

In harsh tones and calling them "terrorists", Maduro claims that Albanians, who control mafia groups in Ecuador, have sent several mercenaries for such acts.

Earlier, Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello confirmed the capture of 38 mercenaries who were planning to sabotage the elections. Among them were 17 foreigners.

"The Albanian mafia that rules Ecuador sent some of its mercenaries to plant bombs in Venezuela. They have been captured," Maduro said in an extraordinary conference, linking regional terrorist activities to the presence of Erik Prince, the founder of the private military group Blackwater.

The text transcribed by the Venezuelan Presidency meanwhile reads: "Faced with new threats: Vote yes, bullets no! On May 19, President Nicolas Maduro denounced the dismantling in Venezuela of a sabotage plot against the May 25 elections linked to the Albanian mafia, Daniel Noboa in Ecuador and Erik Prince in the United States."

The meeting, held at the Simon Bolivar Hall, was also attended by Vice President Delcy Rodriguez and Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez, among other representatives of the security forces.

"This team guarantees the victory of peace and security. We must defend the constitutional rights of our people to peace, stability and tranquility," Maduro said, referring to the elections to be held on May 25.
