According to data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the 6.2-magnitude earthquake, whose epicenter was in the Sea of Marmara and the Silivri neighborhood of Istanbul, was felt in Istanbul as well as in the surrounding provinces.
After the earthquake, citizens gathered in parks and open areas. So far, there are no reports of injuries or material damage.
