The British media have echoed the police operation "Incorporation", developed with proactive methods, for the destruction of a criminal group that trafficked firearms from Albania to the United Kingdom.
Some of the main British media have published photos, videos and data about the operation, praising the commitment of the State Police and the cooperation with the law-enforcement agencies of the United Kingdom.
The operation was carried out by the Directorate of Organized Crime and the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Criminal Police Department of the State Police, with the support of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana and the Tropoja Police Station, in close cooperation with SPAK, The National Bureau of Investigation and British law enforcement authorities.
During the operation, a criminal group that trafficked firearms from Albania to the United Kingdom was hit. Also, an arsenal of weapons, 24 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov, hundreds of cartridges, lasers that are mounted on special weapons and serve for long-range shooting, as well as optical equipment, were seized.
Among other things, camouflage clothing, like those of special forces, 4 vehicles, 8 mobile phones, SIM cards, 2 laptops and 2 cold weapons (knives) were seized.
The State Police continues to work in close cooperation with the British authorities, for the capture of 3 citizens, who are suspected of hiding in the United Kingdom, for whom the Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has set the security measure of "arrest in prison" .
During the operation, the following citizens were arrested: AH, BT and RA, all three residents of Tirana. The operation took place within the framework of the proceedings initiated in April 2023, by the Directorate of Organized Crime in the State Police and the Local Directorate of the Durrës Police.
In April 2023, on the basis of information received during the operation, the police seized another arsenal of weapons (8 pistols) that were to be trafficked to the United Kingdom, in a van with English license plates, in the Port of Durres, the driver of which was put in handcuffs.
At the direction of the SPAK and in close cooperation with the BKH and with the British law-enforcement authorities, the operation for the capture of other citizens implicated in this criminal activity continues.
