A serious incident was prevented in time by the State Police in the city of Vlora, avoiding a possible tragedy within the family. According to preliminary information, the Vlora Police services received a report of a person armed with a knife, who was threatening his family members. Immediately after the alert, the police forces intervened, making it possible to neutralize and detain the perpetrator.
This is about a 75-year-old man, who is suspected of having exercised violence and posed a real danger to the lives of his wife and other family members.
Operator Marjus Seiti reports for BalkanWeb that the timely intervention of the police has avoided escalating the situation, avoiding an event that could have had tragic consequences, similar to other cases that have occurred previously in the country, such as the one in Fier, where a husband killed his wife and then himself.
Authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances, while the materials have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
