A 19-year-old man was arrested after stabbing a peer in Debar

After a well-coordinated operation by the services of the Dibër Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the police intelligence unit, the 19-year-old man who had been declared wanted a few days ago was arrested.
The young man was arrested and detained as a suspect for injuring a citizen with a cutting instrument during a conflict that occurred on April 13, 2025, in the "Dobrovë" neighborhood of the city of Peshkopia.
According to the police, the incident occurred for weak motives.
Meanwhile, the injured person is out of danger and is continuing medical treatment in hospital.
As part of the investigation into this incident, three other people have been criminally prosecuted at large, who are suspected of having concealed the incident by not reporting it to the authorities.
As a result of intensive checks, carried out by the services of the Dibër Local Police Directorate and based on information provided by police intelligence, citizen EE, 19 years old, resident of Peshkopi, was arrested and detained.
He was declared wanted on 13.04.2025, as it is suspected that during a conflict for weak motives, in the "Dobrovë" neighborhood, Peshkopi, he attacked citizen E. Sh., 20 years old, with a cutting tool.
Yesterday, 3 citizens were prosecuted at large for failing to report this crime.
Meanwhile, the injured person continues to be under the care of doctors and is out of danger.
The procedural materials were referred to the Dibra Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Intentional Serious Injury".
