46-year-old Albanian arrested in Italy, over 1 kg of cocaine found in his vehicle

Italian authorities have arrested a 46-year-old Albanian man. His arrest came after a pursuit of the Albanian's vehicle, which attempted to flee from police while carrying a quantity of drugs.

Police reportedly signaled the Albanian to stop to conduct a search of the vehicle, but the 46-year-old fled in an attempt to escape authorities. After a police pursuit and a search of the vehicle, a quantity of 1 kilogram and 140 grams of cocaine was discovered under the passenger seat.

The Albanian was in the vehicle with another person who was placed under house arrest. In the couple's home, northwest of the city, 1,700 euros were found on a mattress, while in the basement there was an envelope of 20,000 euros. A vacuum packaging machine was also found, which was apparently used to package the drugs. In another car at the couple's disposal, 10 grams of cocaine were also found.
