The influencer Mila De Jesus has passed away at the age of 35, just 3 months after marriage. Mila De Jesus, an influencer who went viral for her extraordinary weight loss challenge, has died under circumstances that are still unclear. The news was made public by her daughter, Anna Clara, and shared on Instagram.
"We are very saddened to announce the passing of our beautiful mother," she wrote on Instagram. "We appreciate all the prayers and condolences. Keep praying for us. Thank you.". Mila was known for her candid posts about her weight loss journey. She documented her transformation after undergoing bariatric surgery in 2017 and an abdominoplasty (a tummy tuck) the following year. She said she lost 150 pounds within four years of the previous surgery.
"The secret?" - she wrote on Instagram in 2021. "Don't give up. Persist. Focus on the mission. Focus on what you really want and enjoy the achievements. Ahhhh, and believe in yourself."
Mila believed that her decision to have bariatric surgery - which reduces the size of the stomach to promote weight loss - really "changed my life in many ways", as she explained in November.
The model who lived for years in Massachusetts married her partner, George Koëszik, in September 2023.
In the same month, Mila celebrated her daughter's 15th birthday, calling the teenager "my friend and often my coach" with a sweet message on social media: "What a privilege to be your mother my love... Except Anna Clara, Mila is also the mother of a small son, Bento Luis De Jesus, and 17-year-old son Pedro Marçal.
