What does Zelensky want at the Florida meeting? Trump: Nothing gets approved without me

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to meet with US President Donald Trump in Florida today, in a key effort to strengthen Kiev's position and secure US support for the latest version of a peace plan aimed at ending the nearly four-year war with Russia.
Zelensky is traveling to the United States with new proposals, particularly on the sensitive issue of territorial claims. However, Donald Trump stressed to Politico that “there will be nothing until I approve it,” implying that any agreement would depend on his final decision.
Despite his reservations, Trump appeared optimistic, stating that he believes the meeting "will go well" and that he also expects cooperation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he intends to meet "soon."
For his part, Zelensky expressed hope that the meeting would be “very constructive” during a brief stop in Canada, where he met with European leaders. According to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, European partners guaranteed the Ukrainian president “full support.” Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced new financial assistance for Ukraine worth 2.5 billion Canadian dollars.
