Hunter Biden criticizes his father: Immigration policy and withdrawal from Afghanistan are glaring failures

Hunter Biden publicly criticized his father, Joe Biden, in a lengthy interview he gave for the podcast "The Shawn Ryan Show," admitting that immigration policy and the manner of withdrawal from Afghanistan have been catastrophic failures.
Referring to immigration, the 55-year-old stated that "we need direct immigration," but made it clear that they do not want immigrants coming illegally.
During Biden's presidency, about 2.4 million immigrants entered the United States each year, according to data from the Congressional Budget Office, while a Goldman Sachs analysis concluded that 60% of them crossed the border illegally.
Hunter Biden further claimed that the White House had secured a deal with Republicans to support a comprehensive border bill, which was negotiated by Senators James Lankford, Kirsten Sinema, and Chris Murphy.
As he said, six months before the 2024 election, Donald Trump intervened and told Republicans that he would turn against anyone who passed the bill.
While the White House insisted that legislative interventions were necessary for border security, Trump, according to Hunter Biden, relied on executive orders during his terms to combat illegal immigration.
The forced withdrawal was marked by an ISIS-K suicide attack at Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport, which killed 13 American soldiers trying to evacuate Afghans fleeing the Taliban.
