Iran warns US: Strait of Hormuz will no longer be open to you

Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Committee in the Iranian Parliament, warned that the United States will no longer have access to the Strait of Hormuz and that, from now on, only countries that respect Iran's conditions will be allowed to pass ships through this strategic point.

"Trump achieved regime change, but for the Strait,"  Azizi said in a post on the X platform.

"The Straits will definitely open, but not for you. It will be open to those who respect Iran's new laws,"  he wrote, without clarifying what these new conditions are.  "47 years of hospitality have ended forever,"  he added.

Aziz's statements come in response to the announcement by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who earlier in the day announced that Britain will host a summit tomorrow with the participation of 35 countries, to discuss ways to reopen the Strait.
