Famous island hit by powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake, tsunami alert issued

A magnitude 7.6 earthquake has struck off the coast of Neiafu, Tonga, triggering a "hazardous" tsunami warning across the South Pacific island nation.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake struck 153 kilometers west of Neiafu. It occurred at a depth of 237.5 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage.
However, the Tonga Meteorological Services issued a national warning of a possible tsunami.
He added that the earthquake was felt throughout the country.
