Netanyahu: Attack on Iran was coordinated with the US, Trump administration was aware

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that Israel had coordinated in advance with the United States regarding the attack on Iranian targets, confirming that President Donald Trump's administration was fully aware of the military operation.

"We informed them in advance, they knew about the attack," Netanyahu said in a recorded video message released this afternoon, CNN reports.

Netanyahu stressed that further decisions belong to the United States and President Trump himself:

"What he does now is up to President Trump. He makes his decisions independently."

The Israeli prime minister added: "I will not speak on his behalf. He speaks convincingly and decisively. He has made it clear that Iran should not have nuclear weapons."

These statements come after a series of explosions in Iran and the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, highlighting the close cooperation between Israel and the US on the issue of the Iranian nuclear program.
