From security guarantees to rebuilding Ukraine, Zelensky reveals drafts for ending war with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Kiev and Washington have prepared several draft documents of key importance, which aim to reach a long-term solution to end the war with Russia.
According to the Kyiv Post, these drafts address key issues such as security guarantees, the reconstruction of Ukraine and the general framework for peace negotiations. Zelensky stressed that, although significant progress has been made, there are still discrepancies between what is written on paper and the real situation on the ground.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, together with the Chief of the General Staff, Andriy Hnatov, reported to the president after meetings with American representatives that the work has been completed and the documents are ready.
"The drafts are designed to guarantee a real end to the war and deter any new Russian aggression," Zelensky said.
He added that diplomatic engagement and discussions in the international arena will continue, with the aim of reaching a lasting agreement. The documents in question are part of efforts for a long-term ceasefire and to address the parties' differing positions on borders, security guarantees and peace conditions.
