Trump-Putin phone call ends, Kremlin leader reacts

The telephone conversation between the two presidents, that of the United States, Donald Trump, and that of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has ended.

The phone call, which lasted for more than two hours, does not appear to have any concrete results, but it did have Putin's approval for accepting a ceasefire memorandum in Ukraine.

The Russian president reacted to a  local media outlet , saying that the conversation between them was meaningful, sincere and very useful. For Putin, Moscow is in favor of stopping hostilities, but it is necessary to develop more effective paths towards peace.

The preliminary result is that Moscow and Kiev must find compromises that will suit all parties.

Earlier, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said very little about this phone call that will be held between the presidents, not promising much about the results, but at the same time not revealing anything new.

It appears that Trump has lost patience with Ukraine and Russia, based on Leavitt's statement to the media, after the latter stated that the President is irritated with both sides of the conflict.

"He has made it very clear that he wants to see a peace agreement and an end to the arms race as soon as possible. The president has made it very clear his goal is to see a ceasefire and an end to this conflict. He is getting angry with both sides of the conflict. The president and his team have worked very hard to resolve this complicated war, which began with the weakness of the previous administration ," Leavitt said.
