Trump: China has agreed to open its market to American products

China has decided to open its market to American products, following talks held in Geneva, Donald Trump declared from Saudi Arabia, emphasizing, however, that some details still remain to be finalized.
"We have made significant progress in negotiations with China. China has agreed to open its market to the United States. We just need to work out the details," Trump said at an investment forum in Riyadh.
China and the US announced a ceasefire in their trade war yesterday, following talks held on Sunday in Geneva, during which it was agreed to suspend the implementation of most of the punitive tariffs and other measures they have imposed on each other until Wednesday.

Under the agreement, the US will reduce additional tariffs it imposed this year on China from 145% to 30%, and in response, Beijing will reduce tariffs on American products from 125% to 10%.
China has also pledged to suspend other retaliatory measures it had taken against the US after April 2, although it is not yet clear how this will be implemented.
