The relative of three Albanian citizens from Kosovo who lost their lives as a result of an accident near the Hani i Elezit-Bllacë border crossing, in the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia, has revealed tragic details from the event that shocked the entire public opinion.
According to Fatmir Beqiri, Ejup Tërnava, who was driving the vehicle, along with his wife, had gone to pick up his sister at the Skopje airport, when the tragic accident that took their lives suddenly occurred.
"All the information you have had is correct, it is real, there is no speculation. The last contact was through the Macedonian state cameras at around 22:38, then they lost track. Ejupi as a driver lost his way, entered a dead end and from there... what happened," he said.
Further, the victims' relative claims that the cause of the accident is suspected to have been the lack of road signage.
"In the sense that no information, no signage existed at the scene. I was one of the first to go there personally last night and I didn't see any signs," Beqiri explained in a telephone conversation with T7.
It is reported that the Kosovo Embassy in North Macedonia is engaged in transporting the bodies of the victims to their hometown.
Heartbroken family members have reacted to the serious incident, while announcing that they will provide details about the victims' funeral ceremony in the future.
