Serious in Italy/ Minister of Education receives threatening envelope with a bullet inside,

An envelope containing a bullet and a letter with threatening phrases was sent to the Italian Ministry of Education, addressed to Minister Giuseppe Valditara.

The envelope was delivered to the ministry in recent days, while a complaint was filed with the Carabinieri on September 16. Italian authorities have launched investigations to identify the perpetrators and clarify the circumstances of the incident.

After the news was published, Minister Valditara received messages of solidarity from senior leaders of the Italian government and politics.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her and the government's solidarity with the minister, describing the bullet and the threatening letter as acts of intimidation that "have no place in a democracy."

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, said that Valditara "will not be intimidated" and that the government's activity will not stop in the face of threats and violence.

Solidarity with the minister also came from the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, who called the event an unacceptable act of intimidation.

The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, and the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, also expressed their support for Valditara.

La Russa stated that he hopes that the perpetrators of the threat will be identified as soon as possible by the competent authorities.
