The diaspora vote and the risk of manipulation!

Almost the entire political spectrum in Albania has focused its attention on the vote of the Albanian diaspora around the world in recent days.
The Socialist Party is far ahead in this regard, as it has been organizing meetings with the Albanian diaspora around the world for almost a year.
In recent days, the DP and its allies have also started, as always late.
Statements by political representatives to maximize the vote of emigrants are present in the press and in their political discourse.
But will the vote of the diaspora make the expected change in Albania?
The fact is that Albania has not taken any steps towards including the diaspora in the political and economic life of the country, with the exception of beautiful calls to pamper them, as if they are the passport, the best, most beautiful and most capable face of Albania in the world.
This is a bit paradoxical, since those Albanian citizens left Albania because of the policies, the politicians of the transition, the difficulties and injustices of those people, who today invite them to vote for them.
Normally, taking the example of the USA, voting abroad can have a substantial impact on the results of elections and consequently on political life within the country.
In the case of Albania, which has a large diaspora in proportion to the population within the country, the voting of Albanian citizens living abroad can be decisive.
Albanian immigrants are Albanian citizens and the Albanian state must show and demonstrate this care for its citizens wherever they are outside the Albanian territory.
But should they vote?
Should they vote while they do not live in Albania, do not pay taxes, do not really contribute to the political, social and economic life of the country; to the pension and insurance system?
Will the vote of those who are amazed by the beauties of the cities of Albania when they come on vacation in the summer and everything is beautiful; life is alive, there are people and movement be real?
Or is the vote of those who come in the winter, when perhaps there is no light, life and vitality and the atmosphere is gloomy, real?
In both cases, the vote will not be real, but will be more partisan, according to the interest or impression of the moment and easily manipulated.
Perhaps even contrary to the desire or will of the Albanians who live and work in Albania.
But why should the diaspora vote?
The diaspora constitutes almost half of the total number of Albanian voters;
The diaspora has more capacity than in Albania due to opportunities and not skills;
The diaspora has always been the pillar of our country's economy, now it must also decide on the political future of Albania;
The diaspora is more open in mentality in the face of isolation in Albania;
The diaspora does not sell the vote, even though it may not be real;
The diaspora can create a new mentality or political movement and remove the old vestiges of our long-drawn-out transition, remove crime from politics and bring us closer to the West, as it votes and is represented everywhere in the world;
It enables citizens living abroad to participate in political developments in their homeland;
It increases their interest in the economic development of their homeland and can have a positive impact through investments and remittances and ensures that citizens maintain ties to their origins.
But can the emigrant vote make the difference or rotation?
I believe that it will not, because if this vote were to make the political rotation in Albania, then the government would not allow it, because this government has made the calculations in time about how it wins and how much it wins.
I fear that the diaspora vote will be manipulated in the same way that the Albanian vote has been historically manipulated and will deepen the difference in favor of the current government. Since the votes of the diaspora, which are not yet known where and how they will be counted, can be used by the current majority to fill those boxes in those districts where they are in deficit.
This is also because of the Albanian opposition, which is fragmented, divided, hostile within the type and, if it continues with the same political approach, then the difference will be very large and the loss catastrophic.
