Poem by Dritëro Agolli - For our women

How little we sing about our women!

For women

Beautiful and good,

Who caress us with wet hands

When we return from difficult roads.

We are very wrong,

When we talk, we grind.

Around the glass of beer,

Around the glass of wine,

That our women lost their freshness

That they were nice once...

No, no, their charm is not lost,

Just stand in the mirror for a while

And they still look fresh.

And how can we not sing?

Poets,

For those who have known in life

To give birth to noble and noble souls,

Not in the maternity ward, but at home

And even in the woods and in the fields,

Cutting wood

And throwing seeds?! / Alfapress.al
