Caught in Bali after 7 years on the run, Ndragheta's much-wanted fugitive!

A Ndrangheta fugitive wanted since 2016 was arrested at Bali International Airport in Indonesia.
It is about 32-year-old Antonio Strangio, who was handcuffed by the local police. He was wanted for drug production and trafficking with the aggravating circumstance of the mafia method, in the framework of the "Eclipse 2" operation, directed by the Dda of Reggio Calabria and carried out by the investigative department of the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Reggio.
"With the capture of Antonio Strangio in Bali, the third arrest against dangerous fugitives was made in a few days, after those of Edgardo Greco in France, who had been for 17 years, and Matto Messina Denaros. I would like to express my warmest congratulations and congratulations to all the intelligence, law enforcement and police forces who are making these remarkable results possible. The fight against crime and against all illegalities remains a priority objective of our Government", declared the Italian Prime Minister, Meloni.

Strangio had fled in 2016 to Australia from where, as a naturalized Australian citizen, he could not be extradited. His arrest took place on February 2nd at 21:00 local time, but was only announced today, Wednesday, February 8th.
Strangio's arrest comes a few hours after the capture in Saint Etienne, France, of Edgardo Greco, on the run for 17 years, known as the "Ndrangheta chef" and sentenced to life in prison for double murder
