Population in Kosovo: Nearly 900,000 registered citizens - Serbs in the north,

Close to 900 thousand citizens in Kosovo have been registered so far in the fourth week of the population census by the Statistics Agency of Kosovo.

The director of the Kosovo Statistics Agency, Avni Kastrati, in an interview for RTK in the Central News, said that there is massive participation and in general there are no rejections from the citizens.

"We have passed the number of 800,000 and we aim to reach 900,000 registered citizens even today. If this trend continues, we will be on time. We will have a few more days free if any family has remained for various reasons without registering", said Kastrati.

He also spoke about the war damage registration forms, saying that they will serve documenting institutions in the future.

"Even this form seems to be complete. There will be some source data that will help the institutions because they have the administrative data, these data are not verified because they were not previously requested with any document", said the head of KAS.

Regarding the registration of the Serbian community in the north, he said that there is a hesitation on their part, as he announced that they will reveal the more detailed data tomorrow.
