Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is expected to meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has announced that she was received in a meeting by Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
In a Facebook post, Osmani said that they discussed possibilities for strengthening the alliance between Kosovo and the US.
"We discussed the possibilities for strengthening our alliance, as well as concrete steps in this direction that are of vital importance to our people. In particular, I thanked him for the inclusion of Kosovo in the Peace Board, for the decisive American support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo, as well as for the American military presence in Kosovo as a key presence for peace and stability in the region. We discussed the great importance of Kosovo's membership in NATO, as well as for opening new chapters of cooperation in the economy and defense, as part of our strategic partnership.
"Side by side with the United States, we remain committed to strengthening peace and security, addressing common global challenges, and advancing Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration," she wrote.
