Political situation in Kosovo/ Haradinaj: Chaos is serving Serbia! Who is to

Former Prime Minister of Kosovo and leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has spoken about the political situation in the country.

In an interview for the show "Oponencje" on News24, where he focused on the institutional crisis and the upcoming elections in Kosovo.

Haradinaj said that the responsibility for the current situation lies with all political parties, emphasizing that Kosovo is going through a difficult period of successive challenges.

"The fault for the situation lies with all of us. We are Albanians, Kosovo has overcome several challenges one after another," he said.

He also addressed the issue of former war leaders, emphasizing that they are being unjustly held in prison awaiting court decisions, while the process of state formation and institution building continues to be complicated.

According to Haradinaj, the main debate today is not only the existence of institutions, but the quality of governance and the political direction of the country.

"The dilemma is whether it is better to have a government that lacks proper direction or to face the challenges we have today," he declared.

The former prime minister also warned of deteriorating security relations in the region, accusing it of weakening coordination with international allies.

According to him, this situation has led Serbia to increase its military presence near the border with Kosovo.

"Serbia has concentrated many forces on the border. This is the result of the breakdown of relations with security allies," Haradinaj said.

He emphasized that Kosovo must return to a position where security issues are treated in cooperation with international partners and not as an internal crisis.

"We need to change this situation and return Kosovo from a security issue to the table where decisions are made about the security of the region," he said.

Finally, Haradinaj criticized the current government, saying that according to him, it is not focused enough on addressing these strategic challenges.
