"The Albanian activist is detained in Israel"/ MEPJ reacts: Work is underway to return Baki Goxhaj to his homeland

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has reacted to the detention of Albanian activist Baki Goxhaj by Israeli authorities, while he was on the "Sumud" flotilla.
In an official announcement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it is following the situation with priority and that, according to information provided, Goxhaj has been transferred to Israel.
The Ministry announces that the Albanian Embassy in Tel Aviv is engaged in continuous contact with the Israeli authorities and is expected to hold a meeting with the Albanian activist to offer him consular assistance and enable his return to his homeland.
" The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Tel Aviv is in constant contact with the Israeli authorities and will soon hold a meeting with Mr. Goxhaj, to provide him with the necessary consular assistance and, in this context, to enable the Albanian citizen's swift and safe return to his homeland ," the MEPJ's response states.
