Elections in Kosovo! LVV wins another mandate from diaspora votes, takes over from Vjosa Osmani's LDK
2026-06-17 11:05:06 / KOSOVA

The counting of ballots from the diaspora has continued in Kosovo, with only eight boxes left to be counted from postal votes.
It seems that these votes have enabled the Vetëvendosje Movement to secure another mandate for its deputy in the Kosovo Assembly.
The mandate won by LVV is taken away from the Democratic League of Kosovo, which now has 18 seats. The LDK also includes former president Vjosa Osmani.
We recall that since the start of the counting of diaspora votes, LVV has managed to obtain 5 more mandates, going to 53 from the 48 it had from voting within Kosovo.
It is also expected that the counting of over 8,000 conditional votes and over 3,000 votes from people with special needs will begin.
