After SPAR, Xhevdet Rexhepi also buys Eco Market from the Duka brothers

The transaction amount has not been made public, but the agreement between the parties has been closed, as announced by the Competition Authority, which has also given approval for this transaction.
The “Eco Market” supermarket chain includes 16 supermarkets located in Tirana, Durrës and Fier. Its shares were held under the company D & D Distribution, whose shares are owned half by Armand and Agron Duka.
Last year, this company achieved a turnover of 25 million euros and resulted in a fiscal loss of 300 thousand euros.
This is the second supermarket chain that Kosovar businessman Xhevdet Rexhepi has bought in Albania. Last year, he bought the second largest supermarket chain in the country, the SPAR chain, from the Balfin group for around 44 million euros.

Through the acquisition of Eco Market, Rexhepi further expands its presence in the retail market for food and daily consumption products in Albania, now becoming the largest player in this market.
